Terrible Experience

Liked: We were on a fundraising cycle for Type1 Diabetes, terrible treatment from the staff towards members of the team, one family forced to pay for an additional room, the staff claimed booking.com had messed up & overbooked family room. When then trying to discuss this the next morning with 'manager' another member of staff was smirking thinking it was all funny. We had at this point cycled 94 miles that day, we had 4 diabetics on the team, we'd rang ahead a couple of weeks previously to let them know about our group but they were just awful. Our experience at the hotel in Middlesbrough was such an amazing positive one ŵhere staff went above and beyond to support.
Disliked: Staff attitude & disrespect towards us & booking.com. we've used booking.com for many years and we know they don't mess-up like this hotel claimed you do.

Comfortable, great position with extremely...

Liked: Great position for us to visit York, family in Leeds and family in Sheffield. Comfortable , easy access and a pub for food right next door.
Disliked: People smoking directly outside the front doors which meant the smell permeated into the building and rooms as it was a warm weekend and windows were open.

Good, basic stay

Liked: Comfy bed, clean room and hot shower. Basic but serviceable
