Hotel Description
This 17th century former coaching inn is set in the historic town of Berkhamsted and features luxurious boutique-style rooms with iPod docking stations and private bathrooms. All rooms at The King's Arms are decorated in a mix of traditional and contemporary design each room is individually decorated and furnished and named after a character from Graham Greene's novels. Rooms offer luxury toiletries flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi. The central point of the elegant new restaurant is an open plan charcoal grill. Aged steaks fresh fish and the best of local produce feature in an innovative menu throughout the day across breakfast lunch and dinner. The stylish bar and lounge area offers a diverse range incorporating local real ales and fine wines as well as champagne and cocktails. A bar food menu is available all day and the bar is open until midnight on most week nights and until 1 am on Fridays and Saturdays.

Fine for a night

Liked: Nothing to say
Disliked: Our room was over the pub and alley way which was really noisy until 1.00am when the pub closed.The room was at the front of the hotel, so quite a lot of traffic noise, and a market setting up at 6.00am, so didn't get much sleep.I paid £245 for the night, and thought that was extremely high for the quality of room, as it was very tired and run down.

Great location but you pay...

Liked: Great location in the berkhamstead!we had attended the chilfest in Tring, so everything was easy walking distance.was comfortable .Breakfast was excellent
Disliked: Old fashioned rooms,no fan or good ventilationNot enough staff to man a busy restuarant for breakfast.45 minutes wait isnt really on.Expensive and not value for money.If above were addressed would have given a better rating.
