Modern convenience meets traditional charm at the King Solomon Hotel, tucked away in the leafy neighborhood of Golders Green in North London. A no-frills, comfortable stay with free parking, this hotel is just a short walk from Golders Green and Brent Cross Tube stations, making it a great base for exploring the city—or heading to a concert.
The hotel offers simple yet functional rooms with en-suite shower rooms, tea and coffee making facilities, and TVs. It's a quiet spot in a residential area, perfect for winding down after a high-energy night out.

Why Concert-goers love it

The King Solomon Hotel is just a 40-minute direct bus ride to Wembley Stadium, making it a practical and budget-friendly choice for fans heading to major gigs. With two major Underground stations within a 10-minute walk, getting back late isn’t a hassle. The peaceful residential setting also makes it a great spot to decompress after a loud night. While check-in starts at 14:00, early birds can relax at the on-site bar while waiting. Checkout is at 10:00, so plan that post-show lie-in accordingly.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for affordable, well-connected accommodation
  • Solo travelers attending a bucket-list concert at Wembley
  • Couples making a weekend out of a show and city escape
  • Fans wanting a quiet recovery space after a big night
  • Budget-conscious music lovers needing value and location

Food and Drink Options

While there isn’t late-night dining or 24/7 room service, the hotel’s on-site bar is a cozy spot for a pre-show drink. Plus, there are plenty of walkable restaurants and takeaway spots nearby along Golders Green Road. Breakfast is typically included, which is handy after a late night out.

Nightlife Options

No live music on-site, but you’re just a few Tube stops away from Camden or central London’s legendary nightlife. Whether you're after a buzzing club or a quiet craft beer bar, you'll find it within easy reach.

What People Say

Guests appreciate the excellent location near public transport, as well as the free parking—a rare perk in London. Many say it's clean, simple, and good value for the price. Reviewers also note the area feels safe and quiet, ideal for winding down after a gig.

Areas for Improvement

The décor is a little dated, and some guests mention the rooms could use a refresh. Breakfast is basic and checkout at 10:00 might feel a bit early after a late night. But for the price, most agree it's a fair trade-off.

The Bottom Line

If you’re heading to a concert and want easy access to Wembley, free parking, and budget-friendly comfort, the King Solomon Hotel hits all the right notes.

Disappointing

Liked: We liked the entrance and the hallway and the staff were friendly.
Disliked: The main entrance, bar, and waiting area were absolutely beautiful, which made us really excited about our stay. Upon arrival, the staff were very kind and accommodating—they happily changed our room when we explained that my son uses a stick for mobility. I hadn’t included this in the special request section when booking, so we were grateful for their understanding and flexibility. However, when we reached our new room, we were disappointed to find that it didn’t reflect the high standard of the main entrance. There were brown stains on the wall next to the toilet, a used tissue by the sink, and a pastry wrapper tucked under the bed but still visible—which is what first caught our attention. From 7:00 p.m. until around 12:15 a.m., there were groups of school children running up and down the hallways and through the hotel. We tried to be understanding and gave it some time, but by 10:00 p.m., the noise was still ongoing, and we felt we had no choice but to call reception to kindly raise our concerns. We were unsure where the supervising adults were during this time.We also noticed stains on the bedsheets, which made us uncomfortable, so my son and I chose to sleep on top of the quilt. Although we were booked in for two nights, we decided to leave early due to the overall experience. When we returned our key, the male receptionist simply took it and thanked us—no one asked why we were checking out early or if there was anything they could do.After leaving, we stayed in another hotel at half the price, and it was clean, peaceful, and much more comfortable. Like the Solomon, it was also undergoing renovations, but the attention to guest comfort and room cleanliness made a noticeable difference. Some extra care in maintaining room standards and checking in with guests could go a long way here.

Below average.

Liked: Not much… good that it had parking for free
Disliked: The bathroom smelt horrible like drains and was tiny. The carpet was dirty and the bed has hairs on it couldn’t sit up and lean back on bed due to position of lights.

Cheap and cheerful - great...

Liked: Check-in straightforward. Staff efficent and polite. Room was great for price - I'd only booked a double but ended up with a triple. Plenty of plugs, fan in room. Breakfast fine for price, better than many.
Disliked: Nothing really. Hotel is all kosher, so be aware of this - for me, not an issue. No aircon but windows open so not an issue. They only do breakfast, but plenty of local facilities if needed.
