Very good

Liked: Such a big room! Was so comfortable, plenty of seating. Tea and coffee facilities! Lovely views.Staff are really friendly.
Disliked: No way to turn the heating off manually. The hotel turn them on and off. Didn't really bother us too much as we opened a window, and it was frosty outside, so it balanced out.Could hear everything from the room above us, which wasn't great, so in the morning it was very loud and woke all of us up.

Excellent location for the purpose...

Liked: Everything ... but particularly the friendly and very accommodating staff. Also the location of the hotel overlooking the Battle of Bannockburn site was fantastic for the purpose for which I had strayed, which was the begin writing a book. When I struggled a little I just looked out of my window to the site and thought 'If the Scots could be the English against all the odds writing a book is nothing in comparrison'. (I am English and Scottish).
Disliked: Nothing I would have changed at all.

Good

Liked: We liked the location, so much more quiet than Edinburgh. The deal was really good, breakfast was ok - having warm food during that cold weather was key for us. We also had dinner there for the 2 nights spend, the food was good (a bit pricey though). You can have a walk through the Bannockburn Battlefield which is right behind the hotel. I highly recommend the National Wallace Museum from Stirling as well.
Disliked: The toilet cover was really stained and gross - I could barely use the toilet. I don't imagine changing it would be that expensive... There was no toiled brush whatsoever :( During the first night we spent there at around 1 am a very loud alarm went off - it ruined our first night sleep. We asked about it in the morning and they had no idea what happened.. we had a very packed schedule so not being able to sleep for few hours during the night really impacted us.
