The Spotlight on King Hotel Brooklyn Sunset Park

Affordable Comfort Close to the Action

Modern and simple, King Hotel Brooklyn Sunset Park is a no-frills, budget-friendly spot in Brooklyn's Sunset Park neighborhood. Just 3.4 miles from the Barclays Center, it offers a practical base for concert-goers who want easy access to venues without the downtown price tag. With free WiFi, air-conditioned rooms, and a 24-hour front desk, it covers all the essentials for a comfortable overnight stay.

Why Concert-goers love it

With Barclays Center just over 3 miles away, this hotel is a smart option for music fans who want to stay outside the bustle but still near the action. The express check-in and check-out is perfect for late arrivals or early departures, and the generally quiet neighborhood offers a restful escape after a loud night of live music. The 24-hour front desk means you won’t have to worry about late-night returns.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for an affordable crash pad
  • Solo travelers catching a must-see show
  • Couples planning a low-key concert weekend
  • Fans who value a quieter place to unwind post-show
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who just need the basics

Food and Drink Options

While the hotel doesn’t offer on-site dining, it's located in an area with plenty of local eateries within walking distance—especially along 5th Avenue. From late-night dumplings to all-hours bodegas, you'll find something tasty nearby. If you're trying to sleep in after a big show, head to a neighborhood café for a brunch-style breakfast around noon.

Nightlife Options

Though the hotel itself is low-key, you’re a short ride away from Brooklyn’s nightlife scene. Take a quick cab or subway to find live music bars, cozy lounges, and late-night spots in neighborhoods like Park Slope and Williamsburg. For those wanting to keep the party going after the encore, there’s no shortage of nearby options.

What People Say

Guests appreciate the clean rooms, affordable rates, and the hotel’s convenient location to both concert venues and transit. It’s often described as a great value, especially for travelers who just need a place to sleep. The friendly 24-hour staff also gets good marks for making late check-ins smooth and easy.

Areas for Improvement

Rooms are on the smaller side, and the hotel isn’t packed with amenities—think of it more as a place to rest your head than a full-service experience. Some guests note the lack of parking as a downside, so if you’re driving in, plan accordingly.

The Bottom Line

If you're headed to a concert in Brooklyn and want a clean, quiet, and affordable place to crash, King Hotel Brooklyn Sunset Park is a solid choice for music lovers on a budget.

horrible location, horrible facilities

Liked: bed is decently sized and it was clean - that is where the list ends
Disliked: it is horribly located, there is no subway station close by and the area is very dodgy overall. it is badly connected with manhattan, takes 45min to get there through subway. the TV remote was not working so we had to get it changed, and the new one still was not working. blinds don’t cover anything, all sunlight seeps through. towels are illogically placed above the toilet seat so they always fall and get dirty before even used. receptionist hardly around, no way to contact concierge.

stay away from this hotel

Disliked: we got the room in the basement where there is no good view outside.Blanket have holes on it! I have not seen this ever before in other hotels! The rooms are small - we reserved two of them.Wall outlets - there are only a few and then very inefficiently place around the room! We have to put our chargers in the hallway right next to the front door where we put our outside shoe which is very awkward!Space is very tight - for 240 bucks a night this is not a good value!restroom sink table is very tiny there’s absolutely no space to put the toilet accessories! There are no hooks anywhere to hang clothes hang towers!
