Disliked: There was a dog barking at one in the morning and keeped barking till owner can back hotel said we can move you rooms at 130am that should have gone in removed dog till owner can back from the club

Banff was simply breathtaking and...

Liked: Banff was just simply amazing, I had the most amazing time. The king Edward hotel is about as close to the centre as you can get, all the shops and restaurants are just a short walk away. The hotel itself is fabulous value for money and the staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. I would love to go back to Banff and would have no hesitation in staying at the king Edward hotel again!
Disliked: Nothing it was simply amazing!

Disliked: Bed could have been better, bigger tv as well would be nice. Overall good room for the price and location was great!

If you're on a budget...

Liked: The location is fantastic. The 15 minute parking is always full so you'll likely have to find somewhere else to park. Once checked in, you can get a key fob to secure, free parking less that a block away, though! There are lots of transit stops along Banff ave so I would highly recommend taking transit everywhere! The hotel is quirky but cute - mountain views from every room!
Disliked: The rooms are the smallest hotel rooms I've ever seen. The towels were thin and scratchy and the toilet paper was cheap. There is a very old shared microwave in the stairwell, and a kettle on a bench on the second floor you could grab and take back to your room lol. The temperature in the room was hard to regulate - it was really hot, so we turned it all the way down and opened the window in winter hahah

Disliked: Our beds were not made properly and the quality of the towels was very worn.

A great option if price...

Liked: The location
Disliked: It’s an adequate, older, property so it has been dealing with limitations of space. So the amenities are compromised to some extent. We had no view, but then the town is just at your doorstep.
