Elegant perfection

Liked: First of all the setting was beautiful. It is a grand and luxurious feeling hotel with a warm and welcoming staff to give it that boutique feeling all at the same time. They are one of the last hotels in the US that is truly dog friendly and not trying to make money off of your dog. They welcome them and there are many special details, like a 2 hour cocktail and bites offered every evening, a fabulous bar and restaurants, the entire place is immaculate and I can't saw enough about the staff. We pass through VA often and this is our new spot. We can't wait to return.

Liked: Beautiful setting with amazing interior. Close to town and campus. Loved the botanical gardens on the property.
Disliked: Valet parking is required (plus tips) and $26 per day.

Liked: The staff was amazing. Everyone was courteous and had treats for our dog. Lovely location and we go out of our way to stay at a Kimpton hotel. Love the gardens adjacent to the hotel.

Liked: The design and colors were a subtle luxury. Even the hallway carpet was thick. Loved the different seating areas. It was quiet with personable staff who were kind.

Liked: Gorgeous hotel. The restaurants and facilities are simply lovely.
Disliked: Check in time is meant to be 3 pm . We had to wait till after 4pm. Considering we were leaving the next morning this was not great at all! No apology given. So was disappointed!
