Very good
Liked: Great location across from Hemingway's place. Walk to restaurants. More quite than the marina area.
Disliked: Rooms were a little small barely fitting a king size bed. No room to stretch or do my morning yoga. Very expensive but we only stayed one night and wanted to be in that location.

Stay was great! Thank you!!
Liked: Room 43 was great. Pool was ok. Breakfast was very good - lots of choices. Staff was very friendly and very accommodating!
Disliked: The room I booked was smaller than anticipated, and did not have a window or door that I could leave open. I went to the front desk and asked about opening the window, was concerned about the strong smell of chlorine/bleach, and the TV wouldn’t stay flush against the wall. The staff person (I’m sorry I didn’t get her name) was wonderful and tried to find another room for me. She was able to upgrade me to a king room with a patio (Room # 43) for the same price that I had paid, and I was extremely grateful. That room was wonderful. I greatly enjoyed the room and the patio deck was so enjoyable for my evening cocktail, and morning coffee. Thank you! I will definitely recommend the Lighthouse to everyone!

Reading under the palms on...
Liked: The hotel staff, Laura in particular, were so friendly and very accommodating.
Disliked: The suites aren’t exactly as advertised. It’s a historic property with three shotgun bungalows and a hotel, and the bungalows are chopped up into rooms. So there are 52 different rooms available, and they can’t provide a picture of every room. We paid $2500 for a king suite with a front porch, because it has a view of the Hemingway House across the street, or at least that’s the way it’s advertised on the website. But when we got there, we were put in a larger suite in the back. The upstairs deck, which was not a private porch, was the “porch access” that we were paying extra for. However, when we explained that to Laura, she was very quick to get us in a room with front porch access. So it’s not the hotel’s fault or the staff’s fault, it’s the fault of Kimpton’s website. If you’re interested in having a view of Hemingwag’s House from the front porch, just make sure to put that in your special requests box. (I attached a picture of the map, which Kimpton should put on their website, but the private front porches are rooms 1, 3, and 6.) I’d also call them to make sure they got the request.

Beautiful Hotel and grounds. Even though you are in the heart of Key West, the hotel feels secluded and private. Within
