Disappointing start to holiday

Liked: Lovely room, good air conditioning
Disliked: No lobby, restaurant or bar as under construction which we were not told about before arrival. If we hadn’t paid in advance we would have left and checked into the virgin hotel next door

Hotel under construction. Didn't get...

Liked: Antonio the bellman is great. The views are great. The location is close to many main attractions.
Disliked: We didn't get the room as booked and half the family had to sleep on a pull-out sofa. The shower leaked all over the bathroom floor. The lobby was completely under construction. We won't be back.

Good and getting better.

Liked: I have stayed at this hotel many times, the convenience, courtesy of the staff and frankly the vibe is classy but not too much so. I like the new decor better than the prior so the upgrades are welcomed.
Disliked: Well…they are working on the lobby and it looks bad right now so it’s not fair to judge. Better to wait. I am glad to see elevator improvements as the old ones looked to be original and there was always a wait. Anxious for the new restaurant as I always enjoyed Fisk and the prior iteration…need a place to eat in a hotel.

Perfect location!

Liked: Location was perfect! Close to public transportation and Michigan Ave. Wonderful view from room. Beds were comfortable and rooms were big. When asked for a place to hear up leftovers they kindly brought up a microwave to the room. Everyone was so kind.
Disliked: Elevators weren’t working properly sometimes, but wasn’t a big enough issue to prevent us from staying here again.

Liked: The location of the property was amazing, we were close to the river, train station, restaurants and millenuum park.
Disliked: The entire property was under renovation and there were no amenities available in the hotel which was not disclosed prior to our stay.

Disappointing

Liked: Location, staff and cleanliness.
Disliked: It was under construction and I was not informed when booking. So lobby was torn apart and no lounge area to use.

Superb

Liked: Nice furnitures and room design, comfortable bed, well located, friendly staff.
Disliked: Could have offered a bottle of water in the room. Breakfast didn‘t appeal to me.

Liked: Beautiful room!! Lovely and accommodating staff, the room was wonderfully designed and very comfortable.
Disliked: Was bummed the hotel bar was closed, but not a big deal!
