The Spotlight on Killington Grand Resort Hotel

Mountain Comfort Meets Music Weekend Vibes

Surrounded by the scenic Green Mountains, the Killington Grand Resort Hotel blends rustic charm with modern convenience. Located just minutes from Killington Peak and the Killington Ski Area, this resort-style hotel offers a peaceful retreat with easy access to seasonal music festivals and live events in the region. Expect cozy rooms with air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, and thoughtful extras like a coffee machine and DVD player.

Why Concert-goers love it

The hotel is just over a mile from key gathering spots like Killington Peak and the base ski area, often home to seasonal live music and festivals. Free parking makes getting around simple, and its quiet mountain setting offers a welcome break after a high-energy night. While check-in starts at 5:00 PM, the relaxed atmosphere and scenic surroundings make it worth the wait. Late-night returns are easy thanks to its 24-hour front desk and peaceful, low-noise rooms.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a fun mountain weekend with music, hiking, and skiing
  • Solo travelers catching a show and wanting a comfortable, secure space to unwind
  • Couples turning a concert night into a romantic getaway
  • Fans wanting a quieter post-concert recovery space with spa access
  • Budget-conscious music fans who value free perks like Wi-Fi and parking

Food and Drink Options

The on-site restaurant makes dining easy, and while there’s no 24/7 room service, the hotel’s relaxed vibe and in-room coffee makers help you ease into the day after a late night. Many local eateries are a short drive or shuttle away, and breakfast is available to help you refuel before heading out.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel itself doesn't host live music, it’s close to seasonal outdoor events and après-ski spots that turn lively in the evenings. If you're in town during a festival, the surrounding area fills with energy. Otherwise, enjoy a more laid-back night with a drink by the fire or a soak in the outdoor pool.

What People Say

Guests love the scenic mountain views, comfortable rooms, and the relaxing spa and wellness center. Many reviewers mention how easy it is to unwind after a day of hiking or music-filled fun. The location is frequently praised for being clean, peaceful, and close to both nature and events.

Areas for Improvement

A few guests noted that the check-in time of 5:00 PM feels a bit late, especially if arriving early for a show. Also, while the hotel offers a restaurant, late-night food options on-site are limited—so plan ahead if you're returning from a concert after hours.

The Bottom Line

If you're heading to the Killington area for a concert or festival, Killington Grand Resort Hotel is a cozy, relaxing base with mountain charm and easy access to Vermont's best music moments.

Disliked: My car hung at the hotel guests parking lot at a moment I 've parked it - due to poor snow and ice cleaning. Hotel staff refused to assist and forced me to call rental company assistance.
