Liked: The rooms were very comfortable and clean , our dinner and breakfast was excellent
Disliked: Our group were overcharged at the bar upstairs on several occasions during the evening for the same drinks .. One one particular occasion we were charged €52 for 4 pints and a glass of miwadi.. When we questioned it we were told it would be taken off on the next round of drinks .. We were charged the same again .. Questioned again and same response .. Swimming pool on the Sunday morning which is extremely busy with lane swimmers (who certainly do not like sharing the lane ) but I guess they are there every week members .. It’s also away from the hotel a good distance through an extremely busy gym .. We checked in during a wedding on an extremely wet day .. so queuing for 20 mins extremely wet from parking the car a good distance from the reception wasn’t ideal …

Liked: Beautiful hotel, excellent breakfast, lunch and dinner.. Loads for kids to do. Dyson hairdryer in the room. Very good shower. The grounds are beautiful and so well kept. The staff are excellent. We really enjoyed every aspect of our stay and will definitely return in the future.

Liked: What a fabulous hotel! I stayed here alone for a work event and everything was perfect. Exceptional bedroom to include Nespresso coffee machine and a Dyson hair dryer! Most comfortable bed I've slept in and the breakfast was super.

Liked: Comfortable, breakfast was good, good pool and gym
Disliked: Both mornings a lorry arriving at 8 am to collect and off load linen / towels to the hotel. In other parts of hotel you will not hear this but unfortunately we did. Food in restaurant is not great and also the Oak and Anvil not great either. Had to send back one of the children’s meals as it had cheese on it when it wasn’t advertised on the menu. Roast beef dinner came out with no Yorkshire pudding, had to ask for it and was brought out when dinner was finished. Lovely hotel but let down by the standard of its food.
