Situated by Loch Sunart Kilcamb Hotel is a small luxury country house hotel. Set among 22 acres of woodlands in the Ardamurchan Peninsular Kilcamb has rooms and countryside views. In the heart of the Scottish Highlands the Kilcamb Lodge Hotel has dramatic loch and mountain views from almost every window. Otters and red deer are among the area's varied wildlife. Rooms have private bathrooms with bathtubs showers bathrobes and luxury toiletries. All rooms have TVs and come with tea/coffee making facilities. There is Wi-Fi available in the hotel. Dating back to the 1700s the hotel has cozy log fires and a friendly informal atmosphere. The candlelit dining room serves award winning cuisine with the head chef winning The 2010 Scottish Hotel Award for chefs. The Kilcamb also won the 2010 Scottish Hotel Award for the most Romantic Hotel of The Year. Just 20 miles from Kilcamb is Ben Nevis the highest mountain in the British Isles. The Glenfinnan Museum and Distillery are a 20-minute drive from the Lodge.

Quietly professional without any fuss.

Liked: Nothing was too much travel. The General Manager was exceptional. Location albeit remote was exactly what we were looking for.

Excellent retreat from the world...

Liked: Good facilities and good staff. Peaceful lakeside setting with walks. Caters for dogs.
Disliked: Travelers need to be aware of long single lane road into Strontian, but plenty of Passing Places make it OK.
