Very disappointing and needs clarity...

Liked: Room was okay for the two hours we were in it!
Disliked: Restaurant, we had booked an overnight stay with a view to enjoying an evening meal. Even though it was a Sunday no where on their website does it state that Sunday evening meal option is only a Sunday Roast, in fact they even have a banner at the entrance to the property stating Sunday Roasts until 4pm. We were only offered the option of a roast so chose to cancel our entire stay and return home.

Overall, despite the initial cleanliness...

Liked: I loved the stunning house and beautifully manicured grounds—truly a wonderful setting.
Disliked: We were very much looking forward to our stay, but unfortunately, it was somewhat overshadowed by issues with cleanliness. However, the staff were attentive and did their best to address and resolve the problems.

Absolutely breathtaking wish we had...

Liked: The location is stunning. I drive past fairly regularly but never found myself visiting. I would return just for the restaurant now given the opportunity. Staying in the main house was incredible. We both love visiting period estates so having access to communal areas to soak in the art and beauty absolutely made us stay. It was never as simple as just walking to our room every time you noticed something different to appreciate.Staff were incredible, and travelling with a foodie that works within the industry. I’m always nervous about where I’ve chosen to eat, however the food and service thoroughly met his approval. This included his eggs Benedict in the morning which frankly is a huge achievement for him to say it was perfect!
Disliked: It is so petty, but please rethink your steak knives. I’m going to spin this and say I’m fairly sure I heard one of the staff also comment on how poor they are so they clearly care about their role and the company.

Disappointing, do not expect the...

Liked: The evening meal was pleasant.
Disliked: Far from as polished as the photos make it appear, black mould, damage, general wear in the bedroom. Poor service at dinner and breakfast, Hot Tub lid broken, Landscaping over grown and un tendered, car parks littered with pot holes. Looks like it hasn't had any money spent on it since it was first made.

Expected better

Liked: The grounds were lovely and the staff though there were few of them were friendly
Disliked: First the lobby area the carpets were filthy and could do with replacing. The reception area was in the old coach house which was also the breakfast area, main restaurant, and bar. The car parking area was quite compact and there were no disabled spaces. My wife and I booked the Kentisbury suite room number 1 on the right side front of the main building, which was large but disappointing. The wardrobe door hinge was broken it also only had 3 hangers for both of us. The tv was small for the size of room and we had to move it forward in order to watch it. There were ripped curtains on two of the large windows and they couldn't be closed completely. We found the very large bed very uncomfortable. The bathroom was large with a very nice shower and a seperate bath. The rooms location being on the ground floor at the front of the building meant you had no privacy.

Very nice

Liked: Excellent location and well kept grounds, great Sunday roast beef dinner, nice large room in main house.
Disliked: Nothing really but if there is anything it’s just the breakfast could have had better fruit and juices in the buffet area.
