Very good

Liked: Pleasantly surprised given the current rating on booking.com. I booked due to closeness to the airport for an early flight with a good price. Although a dated appearance through reception and corridors, the room was more modernised, clean and spacious with good facilities. The food choices were much better, fresher and enjoyable than at chain hotels we've stayed at pre flights. It is close to the airport and parking was free. We will definitely use again.
Disliked: The bathroom is still a little dated and had some damaged tiles, but the shower was powerful and all clean with good towels. For the price, it was no great issue.

Tired building in need of...

Liked: Not much.
Disliked: An old, tired hotel. It reminded me of a 1970s student accommodation building of a"new" campus, left to run to seed. Corridor lights didn't all work (motion sensors), and some of the electric wiring looked a bit iffy! The room was mainly filled by a large 3 door wardrobe. The only electrical socket was by the desk, and one of its 2 outlets was taken by the TV. Bedside lights were also hard wired.Some electrical kit seemed to have had the earth wire retrofitted. The shower was over the bath and worked OK, but the bath panel was mdf and looked worn.The whole place could do with updating, though I think their attitude can be summed up by their choice of toilet roll!

Not great , would have...

Liked: Didn’t have breakfast. Right in the village so shops nearby and close to the airport. Friendly receptionist maybe a little too friendly addressing me as ‘ Angel ‘ and ‘ sweetie’ which is ok but inappropriate for some guests.
Disliked: Asked for a quiet room. The room was far from quiet. Ground floor with no blinds only curtains, therefore a clear view into my room from outside during the daytime . Had an adjoining door to another room , I could clearly hear the guy coughing and also hear his TV. The worst noise was the constantly creaking floorboards upstairs whenever anybody walks around in their room. Surely they could do something about that like screw them down with glue . Really annoying when you’re trying to sleep. Wi-Fi was poor.
