Julie, Pacific, visiting Crossroads KC Mon, 4 September 2017

We just spent the night in Kansas City and left the next morning. We did have breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel and it was really good.

Liked: I loved the elevators. You just put the floor your room is on in a pad outside the elevator and it tells you what elevator door to get on. You don't even feel like you're on an elevator.
Disliked: No, there was nothing bad about the Kansas City Marriott Downtown.

Location was great for the events we were attending and staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. Room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Disliked: Yes. Restaurant, the Metropolitan, and there was no hot tub.

Disappointing - 2 out of 5

Aurora, Kansas City Mon, 23 July 2012

The rooms were tiny! And where are those awesome bathrobes? For $300 a night I at least wanted to take a late night dip in the pool. But it closed at 10. Dumb. $13 for self parking is terrible - it should have been free.

Disliked: Small rooms; no bathrobes; parking is too expensive.

Disappointing - 2 out of 5

Julie, Manhattan Wed, 21 September 2011

Was not impressed with the hotel in general. Was not informed of extra charges for internet service and self parking. I have stayed at numerous hotels in the KC area, this was the worst due to the impersonal service and extra fees. I won't be back to this hotel, I just expect more.

Liked: Close to power & light district
Disliked: Very impersonal large hotel, if you want to be treated like a number, not a guest, this is the hotel for you!!!

It was a quick stay.

Liked: The location was great. It was convenient for everything that we had planned. Parking underground was nice. It?s nice that the rooms have a refrigerator. We had a nice view outside our window of some water fountains
Disliked: The pool was freezing cold! I couldn?t swim with the kids because it was so cold. It was something they were really looking forward to so it was quite disappointing. The pillows on the bed were terrible. When I booked it was supposed to be one king and one double bed but instead we got two queen beds

Good place to stay downtown.

Liked: The hotel itself.
Disliked: Too many bums living around the outside of the building. Panhandling, urinating in places. Not good.

Will return!

Liked: Our waitress for lunch at the hotel on June 23, LUISA, was a joy to be around! So pleasant and friendly - and she provided fantastic service. Super hotel location - two blocks free trolley which runs the length of downtown. Valet service gentlemen were also exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Maybe have hot coffee available in the lobby a little earlier than 6 am? We had an early flight departure and several others were in the lobby at that time as well. (Room coffee not that great. Couldn?t get to work well either.)

Very good

Liked: The parking wasn't very clear as far as how to use the card at the card reader. The Valet worker was waiting on us to figure it out and kept honking the horn. He should remember that I paid a pretty penny to stay at this hotel, don't be rude.
Disliked: Teach Valet workers manners!
