We just spent the night in Kansas City and left the next morning. We did have breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel and it was really good.
Liked: I loved the elevators. You just put the floor your room is on in a pad outside the elevator and it tells you what elevator door to get on. You don't even feel like you're on an elevator.
Disliked: No, there was nothing bad about the Kansas City Marriott Downtown.

Location was great for the events we were attending and staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. Room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable.
Disliked: Yes. Restaurant, the Metropolitan, and there was no hot tub.

The rooms were tiny! And where are those awesome bathrobes? For $300 a night I at least wanted to take a late night dip in the pool. But it closed at 10. Dumb. $13 for self parking is terrible - it should have been free.
Disliked: Small rooms; no bathrobes; parking is too expensive.

Was not impressed with the hotel in general. Was not informed of extra charges for internet service and self parking. I have stayed at numerous hotels in the KC area, this was the worst due to the impersonal service and extra fees. I won't be back to this hotel, I just expect more.
Liked: Close to power & light district
Disliked: Very impersonal large hotel, if you want to be treated like a number, not a guest, this is the hotel for you!!!

Liked: perfect location for Rockhurst Universityr graduation festivities:)
Disliked: We we in the adjoining building - checked in after driving for hours. Listen to the directions... should have listened better. left, left go over not first elevators but behind those.... a guest helped us. maybe a little map on the key holder. i have joint issues and never thought how far a room can be from the lobby - way too far. Note to self to ask for a room closer. I'm sure I will not stay again if in the other building - I booked in Jan for May 13, 14. The hotel was not booked yet - several friends called weeks after us and got in the main building - I had no idea - my fault.

can?t handle booking.com or third...
Liked: I loved the staff; the restaurant, and overall staff was great.
Disliked: so the property CANT mange third parties well. I booked two rooms through Booking.com. got there and they couldn?t find it but one of them. then after waiting in the lobby for an hour, while they were on the phone with booking.com. told me it was under a weird name. but then, I didn?t get the rooms I asked for, I got two kings instead of two queens. the manger at the time was Extremely rude and treated me like I was dirt. and I literally never had problems, nor do I cause problems. the staff was great besides this manger, but seriously I?ll think twice before using Booking.com or this hotel again. which is sad Bc I stay here every year since 2018 and Never had these issues!!!

Expensive, but convenient stay for...
Liked: Good breakfast. Decent bar.
Disliked: There was a new barista who served a couple of bad cappuccinos. The housekeeping service was slow and only by request.

Liked: Friendly staff. Delicious coffee. Lots of amenities - gym, pool, restaurant, coffee shop, valet.
Disliked: Pool was chilly, didn?t seem heated. Beds were not comfortable.
