Very disappointing

Liked: It looked very modern and the location was perfect
Disliked: To start with there is no reception. You have to do the check in and check out on a machine and if you need anything you have to go to the bar of the hostel. To open the door you either have a code or an online key which takes a while to function and it does not feel safe enough. Once we entered the room we found dirty used towels hanging there. The bed sheets looked cleaned but smelled horribly, like humidity, sweat and dirty feet. We could barely sleep because of the smell. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly and after a few uses it started to smell like a public bathroom because of poor ventilation. There is no ac. There was a small fan which was also super dusty. The room was smaller than it seemed which isn’t a big problem but it adds up. We were very disappointed and since there was no reception we had none to complain to or help us.

Good location, value for money

Liked: Noise wasn't as bad as we were able to close the window but a fan big enough to suit the 6 bed dorm would have been a solution, plus a power point to plug it into.
Disliked: No aircon and inadequate fan

Amazing affordable Hotel right off...

Liked: This hotel was beyond our hopes and dreams! Perfect location! Staff was lovely- bed was comfortable and room was spotless! We absolutely loved our stay here! We were given a top floor room with a full view of Mathew Street! The double windows were perfect to keep the noise down of the bustling area quiet and peaceful and quiet for sleep! Complimentary coffee in the morning g and amazing pizza! We will definitely be back! Great value too!!

Pleasant

Liked: Location was perfect for Beatles Week. Hostel very tired. Only has a coffee machine and microwave. No comfy seating area. Rihanna you were the best, thank you .

Good value for money if...

Liked: Bed was really comfortable, location perfect. Staff excellent
Disliked: Was very noisy as we could not close window - no air condition and the room was very humid. Fan supplied was useless for six people to benefit. Shower room needs mat when you get out not concrete.Had an awful roommate. No consideration for other 4 roommates. Was noisy at 1-2 am. Kept light on - opened curtains, had a long shower at 2.30am then was still noisy afterwards until reprimanded to keep quiet and turn off light.

Cheap and cheerful.

Liked: Cheap, clean, plug sockets by bed, hair dryer, body wash and towels in room. Also had breakfast for free from booking on booking.com

Lacks the personal touch

Liked: The location was perfect for us - just yards away from the Cavern Club. The room was a decent size for us. The online check in/out process along with the digital key system was easy to navigate. Nice to have the fan in the room as its been so hot lately.
Disliked: No staff to speak to so as such we missed out on the breakfast I'd paid for as we hadn't been told when it was or where it would be. Would've been nice to speak to an actual person.We did manage to get a cup of tea at least - but we had to go ask at the bar as milk hadn't been replenished. The girl we spoke to was helpful. The room was really hot though - even with the tower fan that was provided.

I wouldn’t not to stay...

Liked: Complimentary coffee and tea ! There’s also a Cafe machine for guest .
Disliked: It is surrounding about live Bands and clubs . Couldn’t sleep at all . And no fans in the room . It’s warm . Could not close windows. Also could not sleep either.
