An amazing backyard, kind staff...

The stay was very enjoyable....

Liked: The room was tastefully decorated. Facility is new and well kept .
Disliked: We had a fire alarm went off at 7am in the morning. It was triggered by smoke in the kitchen. But the staff was well trained and the fire department came very quickly. The whole issue was settled within an hour. Nonetheless it was a scare and we needed to evacuate . Hopefully the staff learnt and this would not happen again.

Liked: We had the feeling of being welcome at all times by all the staff in the beautifully decorated hotel. We had a great dinner in the garden one evening - looked after by Jo. The food was delicious ( minute steak & fries) and the setting in the garden so special at night.

Liked: I loved the common spaces - the breakfast area, bar and garden. Great lighting, green, low music…brilliant
Disliked: The A/C was too high in the common spaces - you had to wear a sweater not to freeze. Would have loved a small work desk in the room.

A cozy and nostalgic stay...

Liked: The place had a beautiful, charming feel like stepping into the 1900s but with modern touches. It was quiet, clean, and felt very homey. I appreciated the added security at midnight, the hotel door is locked, and the reception kindly opens it when you knock, which made it feel safe.
Disliked: The room was extremely small, and the washroom was even more cramped than expected.

Liked: Beautiful hotel, well designed and felt luxurious for my daughter and I
Disliked: Service at breakfast was a little disorganised and the high service charge added to my evening drinks bill was unexpected. It was quickly removed but being asked to pay £11 service charge on a round of drinks at only £14 felt excessive!

Wouldn’t stay again. Ridiculous charging...

Disliked: The ac didn’t work at all, room was roasting hot. tv didn’t work. Took £28 service charge off us at checkout even though we didn’t get our room cleaned, didn’t dine at the hotel or speak to any staff other than checking in or out. Ridiculous charge
