Liked: Clean, classy, toileries were provided, location is very good
Disliked: The air conditioner did not work (Room 622). We tried to switch the air conditioner off and open the window, but there was a very loud and weird animal sound coming from the five-star hotel every 10 minutes. After staying awake for the first night due to the heat and noise, I went to the reception to ask for a solution, but I was told that they could not do anything. Luckily, when I asked for a fan, the front desk staff kindly found one for me, so I was able to at least fall asleep the second night. Given the price we paid, we expect better.

Liked: The breakfast was fantastic. A wonderful range, fresh and well presented. Get down early though as it does get busy. The location of the hotel was absolutely brilliant. So close to attractions yet quiet. Easy to pop back to if needed. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We liked the ‘don’t clean room’ option in exchange for a free drink at the bar, nice touch! We took them up on that and it wasn’t a catch. Beautiful building with lots of character. Wireless charging dock in the room. Complimentary water in the room. Lovely shower. Complimentary slippers in the room too! Loved that. Toiletries in the room were great. I really thought this stay was excellent and would highly recommend this hotel.
Disliked: It was a shame the main lift was broken whilst we were there and the hotel hadn’t message to let customers know.

Disliked: We had to stay in line to be seated for a breakfast, not long - couple minutes.

Perfect location but basic room

Liked: The hotel’s location was absolutely perfect and you can walk everywhere from there. Also the staff at the reception was really nice and helpful.
Disliked: The room was really basic for a 4 star hotel and it didn’t really match the vibe of the rest of the hotel. The shower was leaking water every time we were taking a shower, so it would be good for it to be fixed.
