Exceptional

Liked: The staff was SO curteous and helpful. We really appreciated that! The hotel is very centrally located, right by the White House. The entire place was very clean, and the bar has a really great cocktail menu! There is a resort/amenity fee that is charged for each room, but the value for that was pretty great! We got credit to spend at the bar and two tickets for the moonlight trolley tour around DC.
Disliked: The "Monument View" from some of the rooms that offer that as an upgrade is more of a partial view, because the rooms face West and the monument is South. Very minor issue though. Not enough to detract from all of the things we liked.

Liked: location was great! Chocolate candy on pillar was nice touch.
Disliked: My robes was not in closet. Hole in wall. no working clocks.
