Nice room and good customer service. I was just a bit disappointed that the room didn't have a robe given that it is JW Marriott and there was an issue with the shower body. However, they quickly sent us robes and an engineer to fix the problem. I had left something in the room and reported it to lost and found. I was told that they would check and give me a call back. I still haven't heard from them.

Great staff but disappointing physical...

Liked: The staff here were very good to excellent.
Disliked: I had read some negative reviews about this property before my trip so I was ready to notice things. Generally speaking, most of the criticisms were correct. The physical property is not worthy of the JW Marriott brand. You can hear almost everything from neighboring rooms, especially people peeing and then flushing their toilets. The sounds of people talking in the hallway comes right into your room. The fit and finish of the bathroom was not of sufficient luxury quality to be worthy of the JW Marriott brand. The pool and its surrounding enclosure was severely dated and in need of painting. This building in no way compares to the quality of the JW Marriott in Austin. If you're expecting similar JW Marriott quality in Houston, you're not going to get it. This property should just be a normal Marriott-brand hotel, not a JW Marriott hotel. To get to JW Marriott quality, this property needs a long overdue renovation from top to bottom. We won't be returning to this property until that renovation is completed.
