Marnell, Orange, visiting McCallum Theatre Tue, 19 December 2017
This hotel, spa and resort are absolutely charming. The Christmas decorations were wonderful and every member of the staff we encountered was so pleasant. We hope that Barry Manilow has a Christmas concert at McCallum Theater in December 2018. We will be back at your wonderful resort then!

Too big. Too crowded.
Disliked: Too crowded. Too many corporate or group events. As a group of two (mother -son)I felt like I was crashing their parties. Had dinner at aquifer 65 and felt like I was in the group corporate event. Not good.Need a full sidewalk from parking to front door.Walking thru another parking lot is not safe and was not lit at night.Having a front desk person walk us to our room at check in would be nice. We were in an outer billing and got lost several times trying to get to room on late arrival at 9pmHaving front desk tell us where to put golf clubs would have been helpful. Dragging them whileGetting lost above was not ideal.Line at breakfast was unacceptable.I paid $600+ for a cabana. It only came with a few free waters and one bowl of chips?!Bathtub drain did not stay lugged. My son wanted a bath and was unable. If a shower didnt work youd refund or move to a new room. I got nothing for this inconvenience.

Great trip and the resort really lived up to the reputation.
Liked: Everything was great. Just was at the JDMarriott in Tucson and the JD Marriott Palm Desert was far superior in every way. My room was very quiet and I was on the first floor and really enjoyed waking up to the golf course and seeing the golfers and the ducks on the course. Very peaceful. Will return for future trips. I live a hour away and was a great weekend get-a-way.
Disliked: There was a water pipe in the water that was making a noise.
