Brighton weekend break.
Liked: Checking in online was good, and the location is pretty good. Bar area is good and staff very nice.
Disliked: Even though I checked online, I had to wait in line to get the cards for the room. I clearly booked a family room but when we got to the room it was only double bed and the sofa bed wasn't set up. The rooms could do with a bit updating and the tv's are so old.

Liked: The lighting in the room was not good enough for my wife to see to put her contact lenses in
Disliked: Location was perfect for us right by the train station and pretty much Central for everything a very good stay

Liked: The room was clean and the bedding was comfortable.
Disliked: The lady at check in was fierce to say the least, we was placed in a room on the same floor as our friends but was told that there was no rooms with the same corridor, which was absolutely fine! However on entering the room the air conditioning came on and sounded like an aircraft taking off, after phoning down to complain we was told that it was the air con when we said we wouldn?t be able to sleep through the noise, the same fierce lady came up and said she knew about the problem. we was then moved to a room next door to our friends which was all just odd. The bar closes at 10 with equally unfriendly staff running it. There was no food or restaurant on offer apart from breakfast. There was no mini bar but a few mini bar type snacks to purchase at reception. I would not stay again or recommend on.

A good value and comfortable...
Liked: A modern, comfortable hotel with friendly staff. Very much a young person's hotel - quirky even.
Disliked: Slightly resting on pandemic excuses for not providing a daily housekeeping service (if you need extra coffee or loo paper the onus is on you to phone down and request) which is somewhat at odds with proudly displaying at the entrance that this is an AA 4-Star hotel. Pleasant bar with, again, friendly staff and a dazzling array of spirits but, ironically, no orange juice (just bottled mixes with other fruit juices) nor ability to provide the simplest of cocktails, even by description - the EPOS system is not set-up to facilitate this. Breakfast was quite good - my normal measure for just how good a hotel actually is but let down by incredibly small plates and child-sized cutlery plus, amazingly, an inability to provide any marmalade - just cheap mixed jams (Coronet ones - the same mass catering ones that the NHS uses) in those incredibly small, fiddly plastic containers. Mind, if you were French as opposed to British then you were well served with Nutella ...

Liked: Staff were not very helpfulThey did not do room serviceParking was mega expensive and not subsidised at all by the hotel ( as hotel guests I was expenting some discount)We had to queue for long time to check-in when we had a member of our party with Parkinson and mobility issues.
Disliked: Relatively close to the restaurants and beachComfortable beds
