Liked: Older, well-maintained hotel, downtown Julian
Disliked: Room was a little tight, but not unexpected for the age of the place.

Lovely family wedding weekend.

Liked: Cute little town. Property close to everything we were doing!
Disliked: Our bathroom had an issue with drain flys. The staff tried to help us keep them under control. The hotel was full. We had family staying on the property and it was only in our room. In the end the manager was very kind to give us a credit for our trouble.

Terrible. They stuck 2 cots...

Disliked: the hotel cancelled our large 800sq ft room and put our family into a tiny double bed room and rolled a cot that made it impossible to move about without climbing over beds. I sent them a message to help "I understand that a broken pipe has rendered our 700sq ft room untenable but 2 cots in the single queen room is a bit of a stretch. We would have to move furniture around to accommodate be cots. We weren’t able to use the 2nd cot as it would block the bathroom. 2 people had to share 1 cot. Not a good experience.". They responded only with: "Hello Mr. XXX,Thank you, Julian Lodge". Useless.

Disliked: Not super clean, bed not very comfortable. Didn't end up using shower. I get that its Julian and rustic and vintage, so maybe its just me but I didnt care for the experience.Glad we shortened our stay to one night. Expected better for the price. Location is good, though and property is pretty. We arrived late due to road closure and instructions were to call hotel if after 7pm arrival. Started calling, emailing, telephone before 6pm and no response. Started to stress! Finally got call back and instructions where to find key lock box. The man was friendly and helpful when we finally were able to reach him. Whew!
