Had a great time.
Liked: Breakfast was outstanding as was the staff.
Disliked: Don't expect an old historic hotel to have todays amenities, however it was perfectly adequate for our needs.

Loved that we were staying...
Liked: Location is perfect on Main St close to all the stores in Julian. Liked that there were plenty of card and board games available to keep our teenage boys entertained at night. The breakfast was delicious and very healthy, gave us a good start for our day!
Disliked: Hard mattress, but we were there for only one night, so no big deal!

Long on character and charm,...
Liked: Unique and lovely, turn-of-the-century ambiance in the dining and lobby areas. Staff is friendly and courteous.
Disliked: It met expectations in that after reviewing the literature, we didn't expect much in the way of amenities. We knew there would be no TV, no fridge and no daily room cleaning or towel service. Still, we wanted to try the favorable central location and unique old-timey ambiance. There was no way to know, however, how extremely small the room would be. In fifty-plus years of global travel, it was the smallest, least comfortable room we have ever encountered.
