Liked: The location was beautifully renovated, clean and very well decorated.
Disliked: I found the room a little sparse. At first looked quaint, but then I noticed there was nowhere to hang my jacket nor was there a table to place my laptop.

Disliked: The pillows weren’t very comfortable. There was a dog’s poop by the entrance when we came back from the wedding

Liked: Room was clean and comfortable. Being next to the tavern was great.
Disliked: The check in at a different location was a bit inconvenient. "Concierge" was obviously a bot, as some questions I asked came back with basic marketing responses not relevant to my question.

Liked: We were hiking the Bruce Trail and arrived at the hotel at 9:30pm after walking for ~15 hrs. Even though we didn't ask for it or seemed visibly distressed, one of the staff, offered voluntarily to drive us back to the lodge, which is 500m away from the check-in place. We are grateful for her sensitivity (apparently a hiker herself!) and hospitality, who went the extra mile for her guests.

Convenient and adequate lodging.

Liked: Very quiet and spacious room
Disliked: It is no frills but adequate - this is fully disclosed so no surprise.

The place has potential, but...

Liked: Rooms are well sized and comfortable. The location is good, right in the middle of the little city strip. The toiletries offered seemed nice.
Disliked: We came for a wedding that was hosted by the group who owns two hotel, vineyard and another location. It started 3pm and they didn’t allow us to check in early or offered anywhere to change. Considering they were the ones hosting all it’s a bit weird.The fact you have to check in at another venue is a bit of a strange set up. I would have preferred they have a locker or key system that can be done via a phone app.Also I was charged twice, the same amount by the two different “venues” and even asking and showing my statement the receptionist didn’t want to help.

Exceptional

Liked: All the staff were excellent including the bartender at the pub. He saved us from missing our prebook dinner. Room was clean and quiet.
