Disappointing - 2 out of 5

Very disappointing.

Liked: Liked that it was new so it was clean.
Disliked: Huge line checking in so it took over a half hour. No one?s room, not just ours, were ready even though it was 1.5 hours after check in time so everyone had to wait in the lobby so it was crowded. When we asked when our room would be ready the woman checking us in wouldn?t answer us and then walked away and put her coat on to leave. Our room that was supposed to accommodate 4 people was only stocked with 3 bath towels, coffee, cups, creamer, etc. Few lights in room and 1 was broken. No mirror and light by the desk so you couldn?t use it to blow dry hair or put on makeup. Lighting in bathroom is horrible and very harsh. Bathroom vanity was very awkward with little counter space. Noise from the street woke us up all night even though we were on the 8th floor.drawer that held the coffee machine is not properly attached to the cabinet so when you pull it out it falls. Mattresses were sagging. Hotel is very awkward in general, trying to look ?hip and new? but not set up so that it functions properly for example the main entrance to the hotel is very small and obscure, cabinet that is the closet is extremely small and there are only 3 tiny drawers so it cannot possibly accommodate 4 people.

Convenient location and enjoyable hotel!

Liked: I really enjoyed the location of the hotel: perfect and super convenient. I loved the decoration and style, and how great is the restaurant! Also enjoyed the valet service - the guys are exceptional! Kudos to them for working so cheerfully in that freezing day! - valet was so practical and convenient as well! The night front desk girl AMORA - what an amazing girl, so nice to talk to, and so helpful! She was running around helping all guests with the weirdest requests (including me), and being so lovely while doing so! She was fast responsive, and professional, while being so personable! Room was good.*-*
Disliked: The reception staff lady who checked us (guests) in. For a first encounter and first impression of the hotel, that girl was definitely NOT a nice example. It was a very cold afternoon, the check-in line was huge, with a LOT of people hanging around the lobby, and the front desk girl was looking like she was mad at everyone, and was super rude each time I asked a question. It was like she barely wanted to be there. - In comparison, the night girl - Amora- was a sweetie, running around and helping everyone as fast and as best as she could. Coffee machine in room 527 was not working... Wish you guys provided water in the bedrooms, even if they charged for them.

Horrible

Disliked: Hotel was overbooked and made us walk to another location at 11pm at night to get a room at a sister location who sent us back to original hotel. Ended up still not having a room at midnight and having to drive 4 hours home.

Unprofessional and unprepared

Liked: The room was small but the bed was comfy. Valet was quick and professional.
Disliked: I arrived ahead of the check in time - as I drove in. They said the room was not ready and would contact me when it was. It was 2 so no big deal we walked around town and returned at 4pm (check in time). We saw a lobby FULL of people. We got in the long line and the room wasn?t ready. No one?s room was ready. They had too many bookings and not enough staff to prepare. Their tardiness made us late to dinner (which we had to rush through) and therefore late to the concert we were there for. They did not contact us when the room was ready but we luckily got back in line and by the time we got to the desk the room was ready on our third try. So many people were upset and panicked because everyone had somewhere to be. People getting dressed and changed in the bathrooms?

Definitely stay again during the...

Liked: The room was super clean and everyone there was super nice and courteous! The layout of the hotel was amazing. The valet team were great when we needed to get our car. So helpful! It was colder than expected that week but did go up to the roof top lounge. The views were simply stunning!
Disliked: We booked a king bedroom, and the room was a little smaller than I thought it would be. There wasn't much in the way of storing clothes, but it was manageable. There was a mini-Fridge in the room but no microwave. Its great if all you're storing are drinks, but if you couldn't bring leftovers home from a restaurant.
