A great place from which...

Liked: Comfortable room. Location is excellent, right in the heart of town and 100 yards from the abbey. Excellent restaurants within a similar distance - we ate at Salerno which was almost next door and we highly recommend. Very good breakfast. Joan was a very helpful host.

A very comfortable and enjoyable...

Liked: A lovely room and excellent facilities and beautifully decorated. Very comfortable. It was lovely to have a history of Jessop House in the 'Guest information'
Disliked: As I am gluten free and vegetarian - there was not much choice of breakfast.

Liked: Breakfast was excellent
Disliked: The only negative was that my wife was refused poached eggs with her cooked breakfast on the basis that they take long and so they MUST be fried!

Delightful, characteristic accommodation

Liked: Selected this guest house firstly for its location which was excellent & secondly for its free parking. Quick tip - to access parking there is a small lane situated between guest house & Salerno restaurant, go 50 yards then turn left into wide gap. This is the rear of the place . Beds comfy, breakfast good. It’s a listed building so there’s not mod cons but the place is spotless.

Liked: Large well appointed room that was spotlessly clean, with a very comfortable bed
