One night, family get away....

Liked: Lovely location, great welcoming
Disliked: leaving after we only booked one night. Could done with bar been open on Sunday lol.

My 4th Visit. Imperfect This...

Liked: A friendly welcome on arrival as always. (This is my 4th visit in 3 weeks)Perfect locationReasonable efforts to communicate with me about a smell concern. With a reasonable follow up response offering me a free night the next night which I couldn’t take them up on.3 good previous visits show me not to judge on this one poor one.Rooms at the back are perhaps more favourable to ones at the front.
Disliked: My room was at the front of the hotel and hence attracts noise until the last patrons leave the outside communal areas. That didn’t happen until about 2 am. It was bank holiday weekend so I go with the flow on that one.There was a terrible smell in the room. I messaged the management to advise them. They messaged back quickly to advise a change of room wasn’t possible. That was accepted and understood being bank holiday weekend.

Liked: Location
Disliked: There was a bad stench in the hall way and the rooms, carpets are very dirty, all surfaces are dusty and there was limescales and hairs in the bathroom. The kettle is very dirty we could not boil water to make tea with it. Very dirty place, I won't recommend to anyone. Staff was not helpful wwhen we were struggling with getting the hall way door opened. She stood on a spot and was starring and told us to keep trying. A fellow guest helped us out.

Liked: For the price for a family room cant complain get what you paid for basic but as expected staff are nice and welcoming
Disliked: Only issue the bar in the basement did have a unpleasant smell wasnt nice it was a good bar pool table lights but just the unpleasant smell

Liked: The location was great but that was the only good thing about this place.
Disliked: The room was disgusting. The carpet was filthy and the smell in the room was choking. It smelt of damp, musty and dirty. The bedding looked like it had been previously slept in by someone else. The toilet which is up a flight of stairs had something brown smeared on the wall . I don't want to even think what that was. We couldn't wait to get home and get clean . We all felt really uncomfortable and dirty. STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK.
