We enjoyed an excellent hotel...

Liked: The building had character, lovely grounds & was in a place of natural beauty. The quality of the food at breakfast and in Fern Restaurant was excellent. The majority of staff were pleasant, polite and attentive. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
Disliked: The toiletries could have been replaced on the second day of our two night stay.

Disliked: For the price bracket I'd expect the attention to detail to be better. Unfinished/ discoloured grout in the bathroom, two hangers in the wardrobe, tv kept needing to be reset, stain on the bedroom throw, etc.
