Disliked: Room never cooled off enough, the shower knob fell off, no blankets for the pull out bed, remote in downstairs room did not work, tub had a dangerous slope

New Orleans Charm

Liked: My home away from home! One of New Orleans best kept secrets, The Jean Lafitte House! If you’re looking for a place to stay that has history and New Orleans charm look no further. If you don’t like things that are “dated” and don’t like stairs this isn’t the place for you. If you want to be close to Frenchmen Street and all of The French Quarter things, but don’t want to be on or near Bourbon Street this is the place for you. Because let’s be honest about this the best things in New Orleans won’t be found on Bourbon Street! Be sure to book either the 2 bedroom suite or the 2 bedroom loft if you want to enjoy the views from the spacious balconies at The Jean Lafitte House. Both have plenty of space for a group of 4.

Brought the family back to...

Liked: The staff were friendly and helpful. The place is quiet and near everything we wanted to see. Frenchmen St is the best spot in New Orleans for live music, and it was just around the corner. The pool was a perfect way to cool off after being out and about. The suite was spacious and clean.
Disliked: The upstairs pullout couch needs a pillow topper or some extra padding. My kiddo could feel the springs.
