Liked: loved it and so did my teenager

I would expect more from...

Liked: We were there for a concert. Location is amazingly close to the stadium. Staff at check in were very helpful and friendly.
Disliked: Dated, shower was difficult to control, water was consistently hot. Not so clean. We found some used toiletries under our bed, we asked for our rooms to be cleaned the 2nd day but when we came back in the afternoon noticed that they didn’t. My wife went down to the reception to complain and was promised that they would be cleaning the room the next day. Unfortunately they didn’t clean again and only replaced our towels after we complained again. No telephone in the room to call the reception or housekeeping.

Liked: Loved the design of my room and the button to summon an Egg Chef at the breakfast buffet :)
Disliked: Having to sign in (= give my personal information) to use the free wifi.

Liked: Really nice hotel and enjoyed our stay. The staff were also really good! Only reason why I gave it a 9 was because the aircon completely dried my throat out and has made me sick. We had to not use it at all as it was when we turned the aircon on where we were having issues. We just ended opening up the windows instead to get a breeze which was a nice option to have!

I would go for this...

Liked: This is probably one of the best hotels in Amsterdam. Admittedly a little off (but very close to metro and train to/from airport) and sort of designed for events nearby like concerts or sports, but it’s fantastic. Rooms are spacious, pillows are magic, and the spa area is wonderful. For Dutch standards, breakfast is very good too. There’s a guy doing omelletes that will blow your mind.
Disliked: Have stayed here a couple of times (= I keep coming back). Sometimes rooms are a litle worn out - for instance chairs for the desk (a lose backrest)or are too low for the desk but core facilities in the room are great. My main issue is access to cold water in the spa area (there is a water tank in the gym but none in the spa area).
