Disliked: It was not as represented in the pictures and overall very ran down. It was 2.5 miles from the beach, not 0.5 miles. Our room’s were disappointing and extremely small. We experienced roaches in the bathroom and we found a used drug needle in the closet (management said it wasn’t a big deal and removed the used needle— said people are lazy). Our first night there the police responded to an unknown incident/issue, we witnessed a hooker working on-site at the property, and mostly people are residents living there. People were sitting outside their rooms drinking, smoking, and unwelcoming with rude comments towards us upon our arrival. They told us that they hate people who are not from the area. The motel is located in a very dark and rough area of town (all stores closed by 9 PM). We were told and warned for our safety, NOT to go out of our rooms after dark, be alone outside, or walk around the neighborhood regardless of the time of day. We addressed our concerns and issues with management who didn’t care. I am embarrassed that we stayed there and the property/motel was a big mood buster for us. It was horrific and uncomfortable!
