The Spotlight on Isaiah Tubbs Resort & Conference Centre

Waterfront Comfort Just Minutes from the Music

Modern and relaxed, Isaiah Tubbs Resort & Conference Centre offers a scenic, lakeside retreat in Prince Edward County. Located on the shore of West Lake and just a short drive from Sandbanks, this year-round resort blends natural beauty with a cozy, laid-back vibe. Whether you're here for a festival or a beachside concert, this is a peaceful place to unwind afterward.

Why Concert-goers love it

The resort’s quiet waterfront setting is a great contrast to the energy of a live show, making it perfect for post-concert relaxation. While not directly in a bustling city, you're still within reach of Prince Edward County’s live music events and seasonal festivals. Late-night transport options are limited, so driving or arranging a ride is key—but once back, the calm atmosphere and private beach make it worth it. Flexible check-in at 4 PM and check-out at 11 AM gives you a bit of breathing room.

Who this Hotel is great for

- Groups of friends heading to a weekend festival or event
- Solo travelers seeking a quiet stay after a big show
- Couples combining music with a romantic getaway
- Fans needing a peaceful post-concert recovery
- Budget-conscious guests looking for value in a resort setting

Food and Drink Options

While 24/7 room service isn’t on the menu, the resort does offer waterfront dining and has a restaurant on-site, perfect for those late dinners after the encore. Nearby Bloomfield has a selection of eateries within a short drive, and breakfast is available on-site—great for those slow mornings after a late night.

Nightlife Options

Isaiah Tubbs is more about winding down than turning up. There’s no on-site club or live music, but the nearby towns of Picton and Bloomfield offer intimate bars and local pubs. If you're looking for a post-show drink by the water, the resort's setting definitely delivers on atmosphere.

What People Say

Guests love the beautiful lake views, peaceful vibe, and proximity to Sandbanks. It's often praised as a clean, comfortable, and scenic base for exploring the region. Many reviewers mention how relaxing it is to return here after a busy day out.

Areas for Improvement

Not all rooms are waterfront, so be sure to double-check your booking if the view matters. Also, the resort is not pet-friendly, and some guests noted the property feels a bit dated in spots. Still, most agree it’s charming and well-kept overall.

The Bottom Line

Isaiah Tubbs Resort & Conference Centre is a peaceful, lakeside escape that makes for an ideal home base after a concert-filled day in Prince Edward County.

General speaking good

Liked: I liked the view of the lake, and you can tell it used to be a very beautiful place. The room was nice, and I didn’t expect it to have two levels, which was a pleasant surprise.
Disliked: However, the place feels a bit neglected. I booked it expecting the hot tub to be larger and located outside—not in the bathroom—as shown in the photo. The room didn’t look like the one in the pictures. The TVs didn’t work, they couldn’t connect to the internet, and there were no public channels or anything else to watch, just the sea to look at.

We enjoyed the resort as...

Liked: Restaurant served spectacular meals every dinner we ate there. Once we ate there, we kept eating there as the food was so good. The steak was so good my wife had it twice. The lamb was the best I have ever eaten, so tender that it was served with a bread knife as nothing heavier was necessary. Vegetables cooked with just the right amount tenderness.
Disliked: When we arrived, the TV in our room was not working. Staff quickly moved us to another room where everything was good. Next day however the second room's TV failed. I believe the network was satellite which can be chronically undependable when snow covers the dishes.

a great get away

Liked: This was a large family room , it had a full bed, plus 2 bunk beds and an empty loft area for more sleeping. TV, lounge chairs, fridge, microwave, coffee, everything I need for a comfortable work stay. Super quiet , as I was there off season. Would be an excellent family vacay ,as it's right on lake Ontario with a nice beach. I could hear the waves crashing from my bedroom. There is a lot to do on the resort during the summer season, with restaurants, kids area's, bbq's and activities. A great get away resort .
Disliked: I arrived in the dark. It is a large resort with many lodges and cottages. It was a bit difficult to locate which was my lodge. It was deserted and dark and a bit scary. My room was comfortable and quiet. The wear on the room is indicative of a summer family resort , with sand on your feet and kids playing, it's fine , it was nice to envision the happy family times there during the summer.
