Nightlife Options

Cambridge’s vibrant nightlife is right outside your door — think indie bars, local breweries, coffeehouses with live performers, and relaxed lounges. While the hotel itself doesn’t host music events, it’s steps from Harvard Square, where live music and good drinks are never far away.

Many reviews mention the free breakfast as a standout, with options that go beyond the standard continental fare. Some guests note that the rooms are on the smaller side and the building’s historic nature means no elevator — so pack light if you're not keen on stairs. The vibe leans quiet and residential, so if you're looking for a party atmosphere, this may not be your scene.

Lovely if a bit exhausting.

Liked: It was a lovely establishment, helpful staff, comfortable room, great shower. My only caveat is that it is a *lot* farther from Harvard Square then the name implies, several times i took an uber back because it was a long walk (especially in the heat) from either Harvard or Porter Square, abd from the bus line. However they have the world best chocolate chip cookies.
Disliked: AT THE INN everything was great, it was the distance from any public transport.

Liked: Clean, generously proportioned rooms and special homely touches such as cookies and coffee at reception and free postcard postage was lovely.

I won’t go back!

Liked: The location and the staff
Disliked: The house is old and worn out. The rooms are small, the floors are not level, the mattress wasn’t flat, the air conditioning required a call to the front desk to make it work.
