Disliked: I wish the commodes would have been comfort height. We are older and appreciate accessibility.There were no shower facilities - tubs were claw foot - fitting for the era but inaccessible for us.

Liked: There was no breakfast provided.
Disliked: It was a bit odd to be in the property with no staff at check in or in the building. If we had needed to be upstairs, it would have been a challenge to get luggage up there. It was somewhat of a challenge with stairs in front and back. Not very senior adult friendly. This could have been communicated better.

Wonderful rustic hotel on historic...

Liked: Great location in historic Blackwater.Nicely appointed and comfortable rooms, maintaining historic character.Staff (Nicole) very accommodating and helpful.
Disliked: Train on adjacent tracks in the middle of the night (so that's where "Iron Horse" comes from!).Bathtub only.

Liked: The place was very nice, clean, friendly staff.
Disliked: Lots of steps. No showers, and the bathroom window did not have a lock on it.

Liked: Breakfast was delicious. Service fantastic. Hotel room was beautiful. Everything was extremely comfortable and welcoming.
Disliked: Nothing.

It was a wonderful getaway,...

Liked: The patio area out back was an excellent relaxation spot for lounging in the evening...The town offers a wonderful evening stroll while viewing historic buildings and scenery.

Liked: it’s conveniently located off the Interstate, and it’s located in a quaint and charming small town. It was quiet and peaceful with beautiful surroundings. people were very friendly and they allowed dogs.
