Not the worst experience I've...

Liked: Location is convenient enough (it's a small town.) It seemed clean & the mattress was comfortable. The A/C worked well.
Disliked: There were a number of maintenance/appearance issues. Had a burned out lightbulb in the room leaving a portion of the room pretty dark. The sink faucet wouldn't turn off without a lot of effort. There were places where paint on the walls had not been repaired leaving spackling exposed & different color of paint showing around fixtures that were a different size (smaller) than what it replaced. If you have issues with strong fragrances be sure to mention to them not to spray your room.

Liked: It’s the best motel out of the others - really no choice
Disliked: It’s old, completely outdated, bathroom wasn’t clean, carpet was sticky, 1/3 roll of toilet paper on roll and no extra roll available, three tissues left in box,towels were like ones you’d get at gym, towel rack was dusty, and toilet bowl was dirty and hair was found on towel hanging from towel rack. Check in is at the night check in window. The lobby is no longer used - it’s closed off. You can see kids toys and other personal items occupying the space. You ring a buzzer and someone comes out like they were sleeping or got up from the couch watching tv. And they are dressed like they are at home. Which is fine to each their own but it’s just a precursor to what you can expect. I’m pretty sure the family lives in the hotel. It’s smells of curry every time we’ve been there. So if you’re sensitive to smells this is not the place for you. It truly was a nicer place about 10 years ago but sadly nothing has been done to improve the property. Unfortunately there’s no where else to stay in the area that would be an improvement.

Liked: Clean, good experience with the staff
Disliked: No issue with the property itself, but the whole town has a very strong smell of cattle poop. Still, if this property is on your rout, it is a good choice because most towns in this area smell the same!Price was a little high, but finding a decent property like this in this out of the way place males it worth it.

Disliked: No breakfast option due to Covid-19. That is long over with!!!!!!!!!!!!

Better than no room at...

Liked: Location was convenient to my destination. Room was clean with a faint stale odor. Bed comfort was acceptable.
Disliked: Check in and obtaining assistance was using night window 24 hours a day. No one available when I checked in mid afternoon. Was a sign in the night window saying back in 20 minutes. Too close to train tracks and main highway with trains and semi trucks running all night. Could hear conversations of people in adjoining rooms. Once the neighbors got up there was no more sleeping in. Toilet did not flush properly. No breakfast service offered ostensibly due to covid. Price was too high for the quality of service. I am told by the locals that this place is the best place to stay in Muleshoe. That is why I chose it.
