Iris Hotel Llandudno

Great location and value for money.

Liked: Room was clean and plenty of tea, coffee etc. Breakfast was lovely and plenty of choice. Right on the promenade so lovely location.
Disliked: Had to wait a while for order for breakfast to be taken and served guests who had arrived after us.

Lovely position ; very pleasant reception area.

Liked: Very nice, clean room; excellent value for money.
Disliked: No cooked breakfast before 8.00.

Disliked: I have all pictures vidoes and all conversations recordedwith the staffs permissions.Where to start!!!When checked in we just put the bags in the room and left to go out an meet friends it looked basic and had a bit of a smell of damp but we was in the outbuilding behind the hotel (I think its where staff stay) when we came back we found the following issues......Bed Broken and just had a mattress on top of a bit of wood no proper bed frame.Curtains there was 3 a bit of black out attached to a bit of net then to a bit of material on 2 rails clipped together all 3 curtains stopped in different points and where velco together to keep it black out I think. But was pointless as didn't reach the full window so gaps each end.Bathroom the shower door was nearly off and there was human dirty smered up the wall.Blood stains on the wall by the main door in and out of the room.Carpet missing and just a random bit put on top of another bit to hide floor boards.Fire doors are all locked and you need a code to open them as our room was in the outbuilding should we need to enter the main hotel through the firedoor you needed a special code this code was also used to get in an out if our room very dangerous.We went to reception and asked them to come an look at the room the guy came up and laughed at the state of the room he tried to fix the bed but couldn't the bed was beyond repair and said he would go speak with his manager.20 mins go past no one has been its 1030pm by this point so we take the bags out the room and head to reception opening 2 locked coded fire doors on the way.The assistant manager is stood talking to his receptionist once they see us they stop and close the door and continue in their own language. (I am not being out of order here but I found it very rude and unprofessional todo) we stood and waited at the desk for them to finish. When they came out they said there is nothing we can do we are fully booked.

Disliked: Reception couldnt find my booking then accused me of using a different name. Reception was sparce. Cheap seating. Room was dirty with old receipts in the bed, marks on the walls, highly uncomfortable bed, shower doors didn't close, had to reverse in to use the toilet, pillows were old and flat, kettle had seen better days and was scared to use it, no WiFi in the room therefore no tv stations would stay on. Small bar open till 10pm then the doors are locked. No food in the hotel. Breakfast consisted of a choice of eggs, toast or Cereal. No wheel chairs etc in the lifts.

Great stay in a beautiful...

Liked: Lovely property in a great location. Llandudno is a beautiful spot. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Disliked: Check in was very rigid. If the room is ready is there any harm in letting people in earlier.

Disappointing

Liked: Good position.
Disliked: Awful breakfast. Continental which is fine but poor options on offer and poor quality. Lift didnt work. Room was in bad condition.
