Liked: We really enjoyed the place even if we only spent one night. Wish we spent more nights. The staff was really friendly and allowed us to leave our car and trailer on the parking place during our NC500 trip. Very good breakfast. Room cosy and confortable.

Liked: Great sized room. Excellent shower. Service from staff was amazing. Food in restaurant was very good. Plenty of parking.

Decent option in Inverness

Liked: Location, the main building (historical)
Disliked: According to the hotel description, the room was in the West Wing that is adjacent to the main building. It turned out that the room is in completely separate building (not historical, very simple, no thrills house). The description is misleading. I would not book it if I knew where the room is.

Liked: The staff were all very pleasant and accommodating! Absolutely loved them.
Disliked: While the outside of the property looks like a proper castle, the rooms themselves are very dated and somewhat small. Also, there are multiple sets of 2-3 stairs throughout the property that can be a bit difficult when bringing in larger luggage. Also, was not a fan of the restaurant. It’s a beautiful setting, however, we thought it was very expensive for the quality of the food. And the service was very slow and inattentive at times, even when there was barely anyone in the restaurant.

Liked: The single room was small but had everything I needed - ideal for one or two nights. Great breakfast bar and hot breakfasts to order. Nice ambience in bar and lounge. Dinner good.
Disliked: On departure there was no staff available to help me down with my luggage. I have a heart problem and needed help, although I probably could have bumped it down the stairs, which wouldn't have done much for their carpet. In the end a very kind visitor helped.
