I enjoyed myself

Liked: Rooms are old tho and carpet should be removed. And upgrade remo would not be bad also
Disliked: Carpet and my lock was finicky

Liked: Friendly staff, beautiful grounds, comfortable room.
Disliked: Sink in our bathroom was very slow to drain. In need a of a clean out.

Sorry…I’d give it a miss

Liked: The setting , the staff and the restaurant on the waterfront
Disliked: The room had an unpleasant smell. ( ?mouldy carpet ) The air conditioner was so loud that it kept us awake. Lots of light coming into the room. The mattress and pillows were like grandmas old ones. And the bathroom!! So funky. The floor had a downhill slope. I filled a water cup the next morning and the colour was cloudy/white!!! Maybe that’s ok but it’s not usual so we wouldn’t drink it. ( if ok would have been good to know) We ate at the restaurant and it was really nice. Staff at the front were very helpful and friendly. Overall we had a really bad sleep and had to drive 7 1/2 hours the next day. Wasn’t ideal!The place is very big. Maybe we got the low end accommodation..

Acceptable but not impressive.

Liked: The location was easy to find. The staff we met (James) was absolutely lovely - we had a late-ish check-in and he phoned our room before he left for the evening to make sure that we got in okay. That was much appreciated. The beds were comfortable enough. We appreciated that the room did not have carpet (laminate floor).
Disliked: Our main concern was the lack of communication from the property regarding the fact that all amenities (including the pool) were closed during our stay, and that our booking was "room only." We really would have liked to have been notified of this in advance, as having the pool option (in particular) was one of the reasons we chose the property. Closing the pool (and other amenities) over the holiday period in December is reasonable, but should have been communicated to us prior to our arrival.The room (Glasgow House) was fine enough, but was more on par with a budget hotel room (think Comfort Inn) in terms of furnishings, finishes, and cleanliness. The furnishings were a bit dated, there was staining in the bathtub and on the ceiling/walls in the bathroom (particularly in the tub area). Some of the paint in the corners of the room was peeling. We were satisfied enough (and did not complain) because of the off-season rate (about $175 per night taxes included), but would not have wanted to pay more given what was offered.
