Location was beautiful and the hotel and the grounds very clean. I would most definitely stay here again. Had a wonderful weekend.

Liked: Very well managed hotel - staff on the whole very friendly. Breakfast, despite previous comments, was very enjoyable and reasonably good variety.
Disliked: Unfortunate that a full English breakfast is only available if you book it in advance.

Comfortable stay - would be...

Liked: The bed and pillows were comfortable with lovely linen. We had a twin room so had a small double bed each, which was a big plus. There were croissants, toast, cereals, bacon and beans available for breakfast. I was able to get gluten-free bread there, and could have had it toasted in a separate toaster.
Disliked: The rooms are looking a bit tired, handles on wardrobe looking a bit shabby and some of the skirtings didn't look dusted, despite the fact the side of the bed was placed a reasonable distance from the side wall. The bathroom door lock had fallen off and only a bare spindle was left. We reported it the first evening, and a temporary repair was attempted that evening but it fell straight off when trying to use it. A full repair was promised for the next day, but it didn't happen. Also the desk lamp bulb was blown (but we reported this and it was fixed by the next day, thank you).

Liked: The location was brilliant, the staff were really accomodating. The size of the room was excellent, especially having 2 double beds.
Disliked: The breakfast was disappointing. Bacon very fatty. No notice anywhere that there were eggs available. It was only that someone else had eggs bought out to them, that we knew. Also no choice of tea, I had to ask for green tea and they only had a couple very limited.
