Great hotel with perfect location
Liked: Very nice hotel in a great location, within a walking distance to all tourist attractions. It looks a bit old and worn out but clean. Very friendly staff, very welcoming and always ready to help. Good breakfast

Liked: Not much to rate. Location was not good. Pillows were too soft. Staff did not have my room booking in order. I don't know what other positive things to say.
Disliked: See above.

Disliked: A Total Disappointment – InterContinental Vienna is Falling Apart (and So is Their Service)We chose InterContinental Vienna over Hilton simply because there was an EV charging station nearby. Big mistake. From the moment you walk into the lobby, you’re hit with a musty, unpleasant smell. The carpet looks like it hasn’t been cleaned or disinfected in years, and honestly, the whole place screams for a full renovation. The hotel itself looks like it’s on the verge of collapse — quite ironic, considering what comes next.Reception:• At check-in, we were charged a €200 damage deposit, which felt both absurd and insulting. Honestly, who would want to steal or damage anything in this place? The hotel is falling apart on its own. If anyone should be worried about damage, it’s the guests — afraid that the ancient iron in the room might explode! The whole thing felt like a joke, but not a funny one.• Don’t be surprised if, one morning on your way to breakfast, you walk past the reception desk and the staff completely ignore you — no eye contact, no greeting. That’s normal here.• We had mentioned in our booking that my friend would be celebrating her birthday. This was ignored, of course. The only “gesture” they came up with? Offering her a candy from the bowl meant for all guests — like that was some kind of birthday treat. Honestly, it was laughable. On her actual birthday, they brought us one slice of cake (yes, one for both of us) during room cleaning. That’s it. During room cleaning, they placed one dried-out slice of cake from the lobby bar (yes, one slice for both of us). Honestly, a small basket of fruit or even a single flower would have felt more thoughtful. There are countless simple yet pleasant ideas they could have come up with — but clearly, creativity and care are not part of their service. This isn’t service, it’s a bad joke.Service:• The mattresses were old and saggy, feeling like cheap, proletarian relics from the past. Comfort? Forget it.
