InterContinental New York Times Square By IHG

Staff needs some training; good technology but needs personal relation training.

Liked: Location.
Disliked: We arrived at 2:40pm, check in at 3:00pm. Told we had to wait. OK. We went to the lounge. No one waited on us. Bartender and waiter were talking and fooling around. We went to the bar and placed an order. No one brought us our order. In the meantime another patron became angry with the bartender because she was inattentive. At 3:00pm we were called for our room. We never did get our order. We brought things with us that needed to be refrigerated so we took out the contents. The day we were checking out they knocked on our door and said we used all contents of the refrigerator. We asked them to come in and check it out. We had used nothing. We went to check out. There were only two people at the desk and the line was to the outside door. I finally checked my bill and all the charges were still on for the refrigerator even though the person who checked said it would be removed immediately. It finally was removed but if I had not asked to see the bill I would have been charged an extra $300. We were thinking of staying in an Intercontinental Hotel when we go to Barcelona however after the way we were treated and the inefficiency we experienced that will not be happening.

What can I say - great location; great hotel; clean; staff very personable and extremely helpful; would definitely recommend to others.

Need more mirrors in bedroom. Fabulous place to stay. Thank you.

Liked: The Intercontinental Hotel in New York City, Manhattan, has a great location, and our room offered a fantastic view of Midtown. It was spacious, and the king-size bed for my wife and me was wonderfully comfortable.
Disliked: Unfortunately, despite Booking.com clearly showing a bath alongside the shower — which was the main reason we chose this room — there was no bath. My two little princes were clearly disappointed about this. When I raised the issue with the hotel, I didn’t feel taken seriously, and the only solution offered was a downgrade to a lower-category room. On top of that, the sofa bed for the kids was barely usable and far from comfortable. Overall, I expected more from a hotel of this standard.

Thanks for making my stay with family at your hotel such an amazing family time experience! Well done Intercontinental I will definitely recommend your hotel to friends and colleagues and look for staying at one of your Intercontinental chain Hotels.
Disliked: Maybe a bit more public space to chill . Nothing to be faulted! Love the Stingers bar to hang out. Yet again me and family had an amazing experience at your hotel. Well done!!!

Wonderful location and staff!

Liked: The location was great for us! The theater we were going to was the next block over, but access to all of Times Square was within blocks. The staff was excellent! Jae at the front desk was pleasant and able to check us in early, which was great.Even the staff at doors and luggage room were friendly and quick.Our room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. We'd stay again!
Disliked: The one surprise was the $40 activity fee. Since we booked through a third party that hadn't been charged. It was ok since we used the $30 credit at the bar and the discount to the Museum of Broadway.
