Staff needs some training; good technology but needs personal relation training.
Liked: Location.
Disliked: We arrived at 2:40pm, check in at 3:00pm. Told we had to wait. OK. We went to the lounge. No one waited on us. Bartender and waiter were talking and fooling around. We went to the bar and placed an order. No one brought us our order. In the meantime another patron became angry with the bartender because she was inattentive. At 3:00pm we were called for our room. We never did get our order. We brought things with us that needed to be refrigerated so we took out the contents. The day we were checking out they knocked on our door and said we used all contents of the refrigerator. We asked them to come in and check it out. We had used nothing. We went to check out. There were only two people at the desk and the line was to the outside door. I finally checked my bill and all the charges were still on for the refrigerator even though the person who checked said it would be removed immediately. It finally was removed but if I had not asked to see the bill I would have been charged an extra $300. We were thinking of staying in an Intercontinental Hotel when we go to Barcelona however after the way we were treated and the inefficiency we experienced that will not be happening.

Excellent hotel..I will definitely stay...
Liked: I love the Intercontinental, from being greeted by the bell man opening my car door, to the front desk staff who gave me flowers, to the large and clean rooms. I feel like royalty..I feel safe here and the food and room service were top notch..Also housekeeping was very polite..This is my go to hotel in New York City.

Old and tired hotel with...
Liked: Great location. If it weren't for the location, they would be out of business.
Disliked: There are too many issues to overlook:Appalling behaviour from staff. When I raised a concern about a missing garment after laundry, Christian Illescas, the duty manager, responded in the most unprofessional way imaginable. He was visibly angry, outright refused to help, and walked away. This is not just poor service, it’s unacceptable and frankly a disgrace to the Intercontinental brand. To make matters worse, when I complained to another duty manager, they admitted that many other guests had raised complaints about him too. Shockingly, someone with such a track record is still allowed to represent the hotel.Constant chaos in the lobby. The hotel seems always to be hosting some event, and the lobby is used as the reception area. This means that every time you try to enter or leave, you have to push through a noisy crowd. It feels less like staying at a 5-star property and more like navigating a crowded public event. It ruins the sense of comfort and exclusivity one expects at an Intercontinental.Breakfast not worth the price. The paid buffet breakfast is extremely underwhelming and far below average, especially considering the steep cost per person. It feels like the hotel is cashing in on guests without delivering the quality that should come standard with the brand name.Despite the request for adjuent rooms, we were given two rooms on different floors, which made our stay unplesent.

Liked: The Intercontinental Hotel in New York City, Manhattan, has a great location, and our room offered a fantastic view of Midtown. It was spacious, and the king-size bed for my wife and me was wonderfully comfortable.
Disliked: Unfortunately, despite Booking.com clearly showing a bath alongside the shower — which was the main reason we chose this room — there was no bath. My two little princes were clearly disappointed about this. When I raised the issue with the hotel, I didn’t feel taken seriously, and the only solution offered was a downgrade to a lower-category room. On top of that, the sofa bed for the kids was barely usable and far from comfortable. Overall, I expected more from a hotel of this standard.
