Lovely room. Well-appointed. Excellent elevator service to the 37th floor. Easy check in and check out. Stored our bags after checkout. Maid service excellent. Great shower head.

Disliked: Wasn't able to cool the room to the temperature I desired. A little warm.

My wife and I went downtown for dinner with friends and a party at the Y bar. I chose the Intercontinental Hotel based on its reviews. Checked in right at 3:30 and the hotel had four lines going to get people their rooms quickly, which we had in 5 minutes. We went to our room on the 23rd floor of the Grand Tower and the room was a perfect size. We dropped our luggage and went out shopping! For shoppers and eaters, you have everything you want. We came back to get ready for the night and I laid down for 20 minutes in the bed and could have stayed there the rest of night. The king bed was excellent. We made it out and came back late - hotel room was quiet and the bed again was comfortable. Nothing bad to say but understand when you are in Chicago, parking is expensive and the rooms will be small. Hotel staff was nice of what we saw and wouldn't care if they didn't walk around with required smiles! Enjoy your stay!

It was ok.

Liked: Location is amazing though street level noise is irritating.
Disliked: Some of the lifts were out of order leading to long queues and on one occasion having to join others (about 50 guests) walking down an escape tower to get to ground floor. When staff alerted they were nonchalant.

Great Stay

Liked: Everyone was Friendly and professional. The location is Great! We were there for our anniversary, so the front desk sent us a bottle of sparkling wine. It was a very nice touch to make our stay feel special.
Disliked: Our GPS took us to the parking garage that's underground at first, but we missed where to turn into the area. So we put the address back in to try to go back around, but it kept taking us above ground with no way to the garage. We figured out how to get back down there, but if there was some kind of specific address for the garage for people that aren't familiar with the city, it would be helpful.
