Pleasant experiance

Disliked: Beds. There were very uncomfortable mettres toppers.

Exceptional

Convenient and efficient.

Liked: I needed to be there for some meetings. So the location was perfect. The lobby was spacious and allowed enough room to sit with clients and chat without being disturbed by anyone.

Fantastic

Liked: Perfect location near the Tiergartan. Huge room. Great club and even better Spa/Gym
Disliked: Bed was a little small for such a large room.

Superb

Brilliant Breakfast But Not The...

Liked: The breakfast is absolutely brilliant - one of the best I've ever had. The champagne is a really nice touch as well. Fresh baked pretzels, live cooking stations, brilliant range of fresh juices and smoothies. Front desk staff were really helpful and informative. It is great that you can hire bicycles directly from the hotel.
Disliked: The relatively high price of the rooms did not include access to the pool and jacuzzi. My experience of 5* hotels has always been that access to the pool, sauna and steam room has been included in the high price you pay for your stay - otherwise, what exactly are you paying for? So, on top of the room rate, you are being charged for the use of facilities that should be incorporated into your stay rate. This feels cheap on the part of the hotel and was not clear at the point of booking.Whilst the front desk staff and porters were all very nice, some of the breakfast staff were clearly overwhelmed and too busy. They were audibly complaining and arguing with each other.

Convenient location and great breakfast!

Liked: Room was ready on our arrival even though we were early. Very clean and spacious room. Free mocktail for the kids. Restaurant very accommodating and gave us plates and cutlery so we could eat out takeaway pizza. Breakfast was excellent.
Disliked: It's fairly expensive for bed and breakfast without including the use of the swimming pool, which would be an extra 10 euros per adult and 6 euros per child. Converted sofa bed was quite small.

It was a delight to...

Liked: It was a delight to stay at the InterContinental. From the cleanliness and comfort of the room, the amazing and helpful employees and staff, to the facilities provided during my stay such as the food (morning breakfast service, room service, and other restaurants such as Marlene and Hugo’s) the comfort of the room that made me feel relaxed and pleasant during my trip (they went above and beyond to ensure no matter what type of room you stay in,that it was clean, safe, and comfortable), as well as the location of the Intercontinental itself as it is in a prime location for first time visitors of Berlin.
Disliked: To be honest, if you are a first time visitor of Berlin, and need a place to rest and relax (regardless of the purpose of your trip ), I truly suggest to make the InterContinental be that place. Although nothing is perfect, they will go above and beyond to grant enursity that your stay is pleasurable. That is why I have nothing negative to address (I have no words to answer this question in regards to what I don’t like about the property).
