The Spotlight on Inness

Laid-back Luxury in the Hudson Valley

Modern comfort meets rustic charm at Inness, a serene boutique hotel nestled in the scenic town of Accord, NY. Just a short drive from the buzzing music scene of New Paltz, this 4-star hideaway offers the perfect mix of countryside tranquility and easy access to top live music venues. Whether you're road-tripping for a weekend show or looking to unwind after a night of dancing, Inness delivers an upscale but unpretentious stay.

Why Concert-goers love it

Inness is just 12–13 miles from venues in New Paltz, making it a solid option for fans attending shows at regional colleges or local hotspots. The peaceful setting means you’ll come back to crisp air and quiet nights—ideal for recharging after a loud crowd. With free parking, a 24-hour front desk, and early evening room service, it’s also a hassle-free base for late-night returns. And thanks to its flexible amenities like indoor and outdoor pools, a sauna, and fitness facilities, you’ll feel refreshed by morning.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends heading to Hudson Valley music festivals
  • Solo travelers ticking off a bucket-list band
  • Couples on a weekend getaway with a side of live music
  • Fans wanting a quieter post-concert recovery space
  • Budget-conscious music fans who value included perks like free WiFi and parking

Food and Drink Options

Inness has its own on-site restaurant and bar, giving you an easy, tasty option for dinner before or after a show. While there’s no 24/7 room service, the available options cover most evening cravings. For the morning after, a hearty breakfast is just steps away or you can explore nearby cafes in Accord and New Paltz. Some rooms even feature kitchenettes with fridges and minibars—perfect for late-night snacks or pre-gig drinks.

Nightlife Options

While Inness is more relaxed than raucous, it’s a short drive to bars and lounges in New Paltz. On-site, the cozy bar serves up local craft drinks in a stylish, low-key setting—ideal for winding down. If you're looking for dance floors or live DJ sets, those are just a few miles away by car or rideshare.

What People Say

Guests rave about the hotel's peaceful atmosphere and beautiful grounds, calling it a “hidden gem in the Hudson Valley.” Many highlight the friendly staff, luxurious pools, and well-designed rooms as major perks. The combination of rustic ambiance and modern amenities makes it a favorite for those looking to relax without sacrificing comfort.

Areas for Improvement

Because of its rural location, you’ll need a car or rideshare to reach concert venues and nightlife—there’s not much in walking distance. Also, while the hotel has great amenities, it doesn’t offer round-the-clock dining, which might be a downside for very late-night munchies.

The Bottom Line

For concert-goers who want a stylish, peaceful retreat after the show, Inness offers the perfect mix of comfort, convenience, and chill.

Beautiful resort and setting, but...

Liked: The rooms are sizeable, design-oriented and the location is charming. The farmhouse was beautiful and generally all the buildings were beautifully designed.Restaurant was good, prices not terrible for the quality,
Disliked: The service was truly lacking for the nightly price point. On check in, no one told us what amenities there were, where they were, etc. There is zero signage around the property directing you on where to go or highlighting what's there to explore. The staff is apathetic and quiet and not particularly interested in helping or going above and beyond. There's a self-serve bar in the farmhouse but it only had canned wine (which is not typically good) and had hardly anything left to mix with. There are firepits and fireplaces around but the staff wouldn't provide smores kits outside of restaurant hours (the restaurant closed at 9 and the smores kits are in the restaurant so you're out of luck if you want to do that after dinner). If they were in your room with a small map or list of amenities, at least you could make do on your own and have more to do. For the price we were surprised it was so barebones and DIY, you're on your own to figure out where everything is and what closes when etc.

Overhyped, social media marketing/influencer driven...

Liked: generally good views and good quality food at the restaurant
Disliked: The experience was far below expectations, including:-the presence of numerous family pets in dining areas that are clearly family pets and not service animals-a loud and disruptive New Years Eve day and evening experience - primarily loud and unindent supervised young children, including being able to hear them throughout the Farmhouse while in our room and during the entire course of our dinner. I’ve got 2 young kids myself so I have a bit of experience on both side of this. -a New Years Eve party with no bathroom attendant, individuals clear sneaking in the back door near the unattended bathroom shed to get around check in at the door -and finally, the situation with the bed in our room, which is clearly dangerous. Furthermore, I couldn’t help but notice from the open doors of other rooms being cleaned, that our room differed significantly in terms of size and appointments, including the bed frame. Overall, this was simply not a $1,600 for 2 nights type of experience in terms of ambiance or service.

discreet luxury hotel. Will definitely...

Liked: Comfortable rooms with a lot of privacy. Cozy beds, incredible robes and towels. The Aesop products in the room smell amazing. Rooms stocked with tea, coffee press and snacks.
Disliked: As a return visitor, I enjoyed the staff at the front desk and the waiters in the restaurant are kind and accommodating to needs. We wished that room service was an option. Also not enough water available in the room. The check in is too late (4 pm) and while we got into our room at 3 pm it would be nice is this was the standard. Felt a bit rushed with the 11 am checkout (with one particular woman at the front desk) considering the breakfast at the restaurant serves til 11 am and was quite busy. 12 pm would be an ideal time for checkout given the layout of the property. Room was a bit hot even set to 66 degrees.

Good

Liked: Excellent location for us. Breakfast was great, Room was perfect.
Disliked: We didn't like having to use the Jeep truck for moving around the resort. Paths were muddy and not easy to navigate to walk to our car
