Pleasant
Liked: The outdoors lake area, and really, the place is old but a great stop over. You get what u pay for.
Disliked: Lumpy beds, pillows, but I still had a sleep. It was on the main road. It was a hot night so we needed the window open, but the traffic on the motorway was manic, and loud , I was so surprised that the windows when closed blocked such a huge noise! Amazing, put ceiling fan on, that helped the heat. It was clean, old and basic, but the back lake area was wonderful and made it all worthwhile, other than a dead large fish! But it's not the hotel fault, it's the fisherman's...

Without the lake location would...
Liked: The Lake looked lovely.
Disliked: Inn gave the appearance of having had better times - more than a fresh lick of paint needed. The room where we had our evening meal looked like a staff canteen (Why when the breakfast room was a lot more attractive?) Room noisy due to hotel being right next to M20. Food not exactly great with a cardboard omelette to chew on.

We were thoroughly impressed with...
Liked: We stayed almost one night at this hotel. We checked in around 4.00 p.m. and on arrival were greeted by exceptionally polite and friendly staff. As we were leaving in the middle of the night for an early Heathrow flight, they asked if we would like sandwiches made up, as we were missing breakfast. We said yes please and they took our orders from us. We had a family room for myself, my husband, two daughters and our grandson. We were expecting one large room but was thrilled to find there was a separate bedroom leading off the main bedroom with three single beds for our daughters and two year old grandson. We were supplied with a spotlessly clean cot and there was ample room for the cot in both rooms. My only very slight criticism, and it is not just directed at this hotel it is most that we stay in, is that they don’t appear to hoover the floors. Most places I find just sweep them. This is ok until our two year old grandson decides to slide all over the floor and under the bed whilst playing. Apart from this the room was spotless. The bathroom was also spotlessly clean and a decent size with plenty of shelves and mirrors. We ate in the bar area the evening we arrived and the food was amazing. We ordered beer battered cod and chips. We couldn’t fault it. We did not see much more of this hotel as we were only there a very short time so cannot comment further. We checked out middle of the night and the porter kindly collected our sandwiches from the fridge. They were some of the best sandwiches we have ever had and were plentiful. We would stay here again for the sandwiches alone.
Disliked: Just the floor not being hoovered.
