Fantastic choice

Liked: Fantastic staff. Great breakfast. Room was large and clean. Location great, across from beach and 1 mile walk into Portrush.
Disliked: Shower was small for older travelers.

Extraordinary

Liked: I had booked the hotel for a night away with my now fiancé, we had gotten engaged, it was a beautiful day. I had communicated with staff via booking.com my plans they were fully on board; they had helped make the special occasion unforgettable. I had originally queried with them about a beautiful bouquet of flowers, but managed to do this independently; the staff allowed the flowers to be delivered to the hotel and they had put them in our hotel room ready for arrival. Additionally, they had decorated the room with balloons and left a card congratulating us on our engagement, and even went as far as to leave us chocolate and prosecco which we thoroughly enjoyed and really appreciated. I couldn't thank the staff enough for the extraordinary night. It was unforgettable and beautiful.
Disliked: An additional pool table in the bar area would have been nice haha, but otherwise a perfect stay.

Liked: I was stunned by the size of the room, the lady at reception was kind and very helpful. I love the location and the food was great. I was not expecting that type of service for the price I paid. I recommend 100 percent.

Liked: The location was great , short walk to the town, and the beach .

Satisfactory room in nice location....

Liked: Liked being close to the sea and nice walk along coastline. Very friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast.
Disliked: Room was disappointing for the price (we stayed there just before the golf Open championship). Although room was spacious, facilities were a bit old and tired.

Very pleasant.

Liked: Location was super, easy to park, lovely staff, very clean.
Disliked: Not great for physical challenges as there are no elevators and they need to update the mattresses and pillows.

Liked: The reception, breakfast area and bar & bistro were really nicely decorated and well presented.
Disliked: The room we got was very dated. Not one of the ones in the first pictures that you see that are modern with wooden floors. So we were disappointed with the room. We were also put into a room that had a separate room for the kids beds. I was not expecting this as I was told that the room that was reserved for us had a king size bed and two singles. I was not told it was all separate. So we had a bed for us and a single bed in our room, and in a separate room two single beds for our kids. The room that the kids were in had a fire door which opened out into the hall. I’m sure this is maybe necessary in the interests of safety but our kids are 5 & 7 and we were worried they would run out into the hall in the night and get locked out, so any noise I heard in the night I was up and in their room checking on them, so I had a terrible night. It would have been much more comfortable if we had all been in the same room. The small TV in the kids room also didn’t work. And we had to go down to reception to get an extra key card to use the lights in their room. I would also say that the food in the restaurant was very poor and I would not recommend eating there at all. We got a 12” pizza that we had to return as it was burnt. It honestly shouldn’t have been sent out of the kitchen at all. And our daughter wanted brown sauce with her meal and we had to complain as when my partner poured it on her plate it came out like string cheese and we couldn’t stop it and it even wrapped around a fork like glue, it was really off putting. We also had to order all our drinks at the bar when I would have expected table service in a restaurant setting. However the staff were all very pleasant and helpful when asked for anything. The breakfast, breakfast area, and breakfast staff were all lovely and professional. The receptionist was lovely. So a very mixed experience.
