Horrible stay, Never again!

Liked: It had a bar and restaurant in it
Disliked: Key cards stop working regardless if they were next to phone or not. Late night staff would not let my Mother in law into her room when her keys would not work. She had paid for many drinks at bar after being in town for a wedding and was extremely tired. I understand being safe making sure the person entering room is the right person but this staff woman was on a power trip. It couldn't be more obvious. My mother left her ID in the room, when staff asked her for it before giving her key card I told her it was in there and when I pulled it out of room, she said "how come the last name doesn't match reservation" OMG it's her maiden name! Like how uncommon is that? Her ID came OUT OF the SAME ROOM she was trying to GET INTO! Use your damn brain lady. She then proceeded to threaten us about cops if she hears any complaints. We (myself and my significant other, my uncle in law and his wife) were assisting my overly tired and somewhat intoxicated Mother in law into her room and going back to our own rooms. How ridiculous was that harassment? After that charade I get to my room and guess what? My Key cards don't work! What a damn nightmare. Expect your room keys to work one time then discard cause they won't work again. And then be ready to deal with Miss PowerTrips in the front lobby. Oh not to mention, DO NoT be a light sleeper because the Air conditioning in the rooms are crazy LOUD. So deal the Texas heat or don't sleep. You'll wake up each time it kicks on. Overall terrible experience except the bar staff who were tipped very well!

Negative review of our stay

Liked: The location was central to our wedding venue and gathering.
Disliked: They put us in the wrong room twice and finally got our king size after going to the desk 3 times. The key card deactivate very easily and we had to get them reprogrammed 5 times on our 2 night stay. The air conditioner was very loud and the room was outdated with old carpet and very musty smelling. The bathroom was updated but the toilet constantly ran. We had to push the flapper down each time we used it. The hotel was old and needed to have a revamping. The front desk manager took our complaints and apologized but did not offer any discount when we inquired a little compensation.

Liked: Easy to get to.
Disliked: I really don’t like to have a room outside like the old motels. For one thing I don’t feel as safe as when I am inside and the other thing is someone a few doors down had their car alarm going off starting at 2am! Didn’t get but a few hours sleep!

Disliked: Reservation was for pool view got court yard view
