A Peaceful Retreat That's Close...

Liked: A very quaint and relaxing setting. I enjoyed the park-like view from my room. The lawn and trees were well taken care of. I loved the fragrance of the jasmine bush. All staff were very friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Needed a little more option for breakfast, however stores and shops were nearby. The bed only had the mattress on a wood platform so by the 2nd night my back was hurting.

Noisy stay in Novato.

Liked: The owners are trying to update and upgrade the property. The bed was comfortable, and the room had a number of updates - electrical outlets, decor, shower. The staff was quite helpful and pleasant.
Disliked: The first room we were assigned was a disaster. Located at the rear of the property (which was quiet), the door jam had been broken and not repaired, and the air conditioning / heater didn't work. The move to a functional room came with a price - a lot of noise from the highway which is very close. Their "breakfast" lacked any hot food and was quite minimal.

Liked: Beautiful foliage on the grounds. Great location right next to the highway. Good value for what you get. Staff from the front desk could be better.

The photos bear very little...

Liked: The shower was very good
Disliked: The lights outside on the walkway combined with the terrible window blind made the room too light in the night. The room was darkest at 7 when the lights went off
